Half Day Trips . . .

An excellent introduction to sea kayaking in the San Juans. Includes “hands-on” instruction to acquaint new paddlers with safety procedures and equipment. About a three hour day with 2 hours of actual on-the-water paddling and exploration. Take a look at maps, accommodations, and the gear list.

Chuckanut Bay

Launching from Larrabee State Park, we spend the day exploring the intricate sandstone formations and fossilized remnants of ancient palm trunks within and extending south of Chuckanut Bay. Skagit River to Swinomish Channel

This trip begins with a float down the south fork of the Skagit River. Then, while paddling through the channels of the delta area, we are alert for shore birds, water fowl, and predator birds.
