This two+ Sea Kayak Touring Skills Course pairs a classroom planning session with an overnight expedition to Clark Island State Park. Participants learn expedition planning—tides, currents, marine weather, route selection, packing and loading—and then apply those skills on a fully loaded, two-day paddle through the Salish Sea. The experience includes camping on the island with shared dinners and breakfasts, guided on-water instruction, and hands-on practice in navigation and decision-making to build confidence for independent multi-day trips.
We offer tiered pricing to help make this course accessible to a wider range of paddlers. Please choose the registration level that feels most aligned with your financial situation—those who are able to pay at a higher tier help support broader access to this experience.
